T-MOSAiC WORKSHOP AT ARCTIC CHANGE
(Quebec City, December 11)
An IASC-sponsored open workshop on the proposed program ‘Terrestrial Multidisciplinary distributed Observatories for the Study of Arctic Climate’ (T-MOSAiC) will take place on 11 December 2017 in Québec City, Canada, immediately prior to the ‘Arctic Change’ conference. A follow-up workshop has been scheduled for 20 June 2018, during the Polar-2018 conference in Davos, Switzerland. The intention of T-MOSAiC is to develop a pan-Arctic, land-based program that would extend the activities that are currently in advanced planning for the IASC flagship program MOSAiC: ‘The Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate’. T-MOSAiC aims to coordinate complementary activities that could both aid and benefit from MOSAiC (especially the modelling components) by extending the work to the lands surrounding the Arctic Ocean, to the northern communities who live on those lands, and to Arctic terrestrial ecosystems and geosystems.
Venue: Quebec City Convention Centre, room 302B.
Time and date: 13h00-17h30, Monday 11 December, 2017.
For the workshop further details, please contact conveners João Canário (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Warwick Vincent (email@example.com).
